Thursday 21st August 2008 Retail jobs - Retail jobs available at shopping park

New jobs in retail will be created at a shopping complex in Ashbourne after a major chain announced it will open a store, the Ashbourne News Telegraph has reported. Marks and Spencer Simply Food, the food arm of retail giant Marks and Spencer, has moved into empty units at Waterside Park in a move that will generate 40 new retail jobs. Chris Carlisle, managing director of Cedar House Investments', told the Telegraph: "This is tremendous news for Ashbourne. The thought of a major household name like Marks and Spencer coming to the town is a clear vote of confidence for the area." The jobs in retail will be split between full-time and part-time positions at the new food outlet. Chris Smith of Marks and Spencer Simply Food told the newspaper: "We've been looking to open a store within Ashbourne for some time. Waterside Park has provided us with the opportunity to establish a presence within the town." Around 120 jobs in retail have been created by the £25 million Waterside Park shopping scheme since it opened. Retail jobs
