Thousands of jobs in administration will be created when BAE Systems (BAE) finishes work on its new offices in Samlesbury, the Lancashire Telegraph has reported. The British defence and aerospace company will generate around 1,400 jobs in administration once construction work is completed on its two new offices as part of a £50million expansion scheme. Dave Holmes, investment and strategic planning director for BAE Systems, told the Lancashire Telegraph: "The Samlesbury development demonstrates our commitment to the region. This investment will help ensure that Samlesbury remains an important centre of excellence for aerospace in the north west." Currently, BAE employs more than 4,000 people in administration jobs in the region and each new office will expect to get 700 new employees with jobs in administration. BAE is the predominant supplier to the UK Ministry of Defense and Defense News reported that BAE is the world's third largest defence contractor and the largest in Europe.
