Wednesday 21st January 2009 Engineering jobs - top industry employers recognised

Mott Macdonald and Opus International are among the construction and engineering firms to have been recognised for their commitment to developing new talent.
At the recent NCE Employer Review Awards ceremony, businesses from across the country were praised for the quality of engineering jobs they offer and for the career progression they continue to offer, in spite of the challenging economic times.
Parsons Brinckerhoff was named the top firm for recognising technical talent, with Mott MacDonald runner up in the category, while Opus International was deemed to offer the 'most fun' engineering jobs.
In addition, Atkins, Logikal and Bam Nuttall were singled out by the awards panel for the structured career development they offer their employees.
Just this week, Friends Provident's Career Evolution Report revealed that a majority of UK workers are now wanting their professional life to be a 'journey', with many seeing job fulfillment as just as important as financial remuneration.
