Hereford £16,000 per year
You will be responsible for the timely availability of materials to required quality standard, whilst controlling the financial impact to the business.
You will have the objectives of materials availability on time, inventory management, maintaining stock levels within limits responsible for buyinga wide selection of items for a renowned manufacturing company.
Maintain stock levels to agreed levels.
Ensure the computerised stock control system is accurate and kept up to date.
Manage trend changes in stock efficiently and effectively.
Responsible for administering all Purchasing Department functions.
To plan, organise and co-ordinate production, ensuring the efficient and economic use of production resources to satisfy customer demands. Place the relevant purchase orders for materials, bought out parts, packaging, outwork, consumables, and miscellaneous items with approved suppliers ensuring delivery quantities and dates are achievable
Ideally the candidate will have gained purchasing experience from within a manufacturing environment using an ERP system ideally JD Edwards this is not a pre-requisite. Strong communication skills are essential.
