Job description
The Economic Research Unit is recognised as one of the most sophisticated facilities of its kind, reinforced by the fact that the unit is one of the leading publishers of construction cost data in the world.

The Unit comprises a young, dynamic team of economists and researchers dedicated to collating construction economic data from around the world to support our global clients, helping to ensure that clients receive consistently accurate benchmarked cost information.

We work with all sectors and locations in support of Franklin + Andrews and the wider Mott MacDonald group and also directly with private and public clients.

Our commercial research activities are split into the following services: Data / Knowledge Management; Indexation and Economic Forecasting; International Research; Benchmarking; Whole Life Costing and other forms of Economic Modelling.

As well as working directly with clients, we provide industry standard cost handbooks, electronic databases and estimating systems, economic bulletins, articles for magazines and professional journals and presentations and seminars.

This new opening within the unit offers a real opportunity to learn and develop cutting edge skills in our commercial research services and also become part of a high profile publications team. Supporting units within our broader office network also gives excellent opportunities to travel and work in a variety of sectors and international locations.

Candidate specification
We are looking for individuals with a construction related degree and with experience in construction economics, statistics or quantity surveying. Good written and oral communication skills are essential along with a high computing ability.
