| Description |
My client currently has an exciting opportunity for the right candidate with considerable experience in Asset Servicing focussing on credit. The Asset Servicing division helps their clients worldwide enhance the management, administration and oversight of their entire investment process.
Key responsibilities will include:
Manage the operational credit (Type B) activities supporting the Asset Servicing business.
This would include, inter alia, oversight of intra- and inter-day liquidity (cash movements), analysis of counterparty creditworthiness, transaction structure & cash flows, and establishing appropriate borrower ratings, risk thresholds and mitigants.
Be accountable for underwriting, monitoring, controlling, approving and reporting of credit facilities supporting asset servicing business, ensuring that the operational credit framework is applied consistently with other geographic areas.
Oversee and manage credit officers.
Ensure that risk is managed as efficiently and automatically as possible by means of a thorough understanding of flows, client types and structure.
Keep abreast of market conditions and industry trends to anticipate credit deterioration and recommend corrective courses of action, as needed.
Serve as an internal resource on credit issues pertaining to the asset servicing business.
Actively participate in meetings, providing guidance and insight in setting underwriting standards and adding value to the business.
Keep senior management apprised of credit developments, including to regional risk management committees via the Senior Credit Officer. EMEA. Support the Senior Credit Officer EMEA in dealings with multiple regulatory agencies for all asset servicing credit issues.
Recruit and retain strong credit staff, fostering pro-active dialogue and strong working relationships within E/MEA senior staff and Asset Servicing personnel.
Coordinate and oversee technology enhancements impacting E/MEA Asset Servicing and other impacted areas that have credit implications, for both business as usual and BK/MEL integration purposes.
Exercise credit decisions in accordance with delegated approval authority, including exceptional credit approval, as necessary. Job holder is required to be independent and able to make decisions with confidence.
Relationships: Senior Management in Asset Servicing in Brussels and London; Relationship Managers/Client Executives across Europe; RM Support; AIMS/CIF; transactional operational staff globally.
My client is looking for candidates that can demonstrate a Solid experience in a financial environment with a detailed understanding of payment systems, rules and practices, specific credit experience would be an advantage. Understanding of Financial Market operations, sound knowledge of Bank systems and an enquiring mind with the ability to take an all-encompassing view.
