JOB TITLE Group Accounting Manager

My Lloyds Syndicate client has an exciting vacancy in their Finance department for a Group Accounting Manager.
Reporting into the Head of Accounting and with direct Supervisory responsibilities you will be overseeing the accounting transactions of the Group.
Additional responsibilities will include the interpretation / implementation of accounting standards; control as well as the introduction of process improvements.
Ideally you will be at least 3 years PQE – CA / CIMA / ACCA and have the following skillset:
Exposure to the Lloyd’s market
Experience in producing regular management accounts and packs of management information.
Experience in managing people and KPI
Exposure to expense allocation processes
Project management experience at a senior level.
Exposure to assessment and implementation of controls and procedures.
People management.
Exposure to reporting activities to senior management committees.
Working knowledge of consolidation procedures.
Working knowledge of reporting requirements imposed by listing rules, Companies Act, IFRS.
Working knowledge of tax regulations, including income tax and VAT.
Advanced experience of using Excel 7.0.
Very good verbal and written reporting skills
Working knowledge of Great Plains / Dynamics
You should also be able to deliver results; delegate & manage; have strong communication and reporting skills and be accountable / take ownership of the work assigned – with an emphasis on quality of the outputs produced.
