The Role:

Due to maternity leave we are looking to recruit an Interim Retail Accountant for the Retail side of our business.
Based within our Finance department at Head Office, in Huddersfield, you will be responsible for:

- the preparation and completion of month end accounts and government returns (UK and Irish).
- assisting with the budgeting process, statutory accounts and tax returns.
- assisting the Retail Financial Controllerwith the preparation and completion of:
annual and quarterly budgeting process, statutory accounts and tax packs for Mamas & Papas Retail Ltd.and various commercial projects.
- dealing with ad hoc queries and acting as secondary cover for the Retail Financial Controller and Retail Assistant accountant.

The Person:

You will have gained experience of working within a Finance department and ideally possess, or be studying towards, an ACA, ACCA or ACMA and be capable of using Microsoft Excel on a daily basis.

Working to strict deadlines, you're self-motivated and confident with strong communication skills and an eye for detail.

A proven problem solver, your proactive attitude and inquisitive approach will allow you to quickly identify business/financial issues, recommend solutions and implement change.
