My client, a leading Financial Services organisation has an immediate requirement for a Central PMO Finance Analyst, based in the North West.
The successful candidate will fulfil the following deliverables:
Lead the central finance function to provide the following analysis for CMLT review,
- Lead the monthly variance analysis of the departmental (steady state) budget across all nominals and using a cross-site team.
- Point of contact for the Finance business partner to journal amendments to the budget on a monthly basis
- Monthly variance analysis for the Investment budget – calculating the composite day rate for a large resource pool. identifying all factors that have contributed to movements in the composite day rate and able to articulate this in management presentations
- Understand utilisation across all Change roles. Able to perform variance analysis across 400 individuals to identify potential issues and areas for concern
- Track recruitment against budgeted numbers to highlight variances and assess any associated budget risks
- Work with the demand teams to understand the impact on the Investment budget of increased / decreased demand
- Develop operational procedure documents to support the above processes
- Develop the "future state" Change Management finance roles required to support the Transformation Plan
- Plan, prepare, organise and facilitate workshops to review, re-forecast and agree budgets as required
- Own the expenditure policy. Ensure an effective communication strategy and supporting education approach.
- To resolve issues, queries and exceptions arising from stakeholders relating to steady state and investment budgets
Essential skills required are:
- Expert in all aspects of financial management within a PMO environment
- Expert in excel
- Sound financial management with a deep knowledge of the financial processes
- Skilled in working with a “Resource Pool” resource model
- Skilled in managing finances within a “Day Rate” charging environment
- Excellent presentation skills – both verbal and written
- Able to integrate well within a multi-discipline team
- Willing and able to disseminate knowledge to colleagues who are less familiar with financial concepts (integrating with the Practice model and the need to raise capability)
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Skilled in establishing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders
- Able to analyse complex data and produce clear, concise conclusions
