My client is an established business with a need for a technically strong senior accountant to join the team. Responsibilities will involve preparation of the consolidated general purpose financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP for the year ended 31 December 2009. Preparation of special purpose financial statements for foreign companies. Preparation of consolidated management accounts at regular intervals.
Completion of month end reporting requirements including financial analysis.
Overseeing balance sheet reconciliations including foreign currency and intercompany accounts. Management of treasury function including monitoring and maintaining cash flow of foreign companies. Liaising with external auditors, accountants and lawyers
Looking for a qualified accountant with experience in working in a commercial environment. Capable of working to tight deadlines with competing priorities. Excellent communication skills. Enthusiastic and flexible attitude. Good computer literacy and the ability to use Sage accounting system.
