Our client is looking for a Group Management Accountant to take responsibility for the month end reporting process and first review of the financial results, providing insightful analysis of variances and associated commentary as appropriate. The role offers excellent finance experience and there will be opportunities to represent Finance on projects affecting management reporting and accounting systems as it is expected that the role holder will assist in improving management accounting and reporting processes. The role gives the opportunity to work in a busy Group Finance department which has an open and friendly environment and is supportive of team members who want to succeed and excel.

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (i.e. Chartered ACCA, ACA, qualified) with excellent understanding of operational and management accounting processes along with a sound and in depth knowledge of IAS. You will have significant experience in technical management accounting. To succeed in the role you must have excellent organisational and analytical skills to understand and articulate drivers of variances and good interpersonal skills and tenacity to ensure all improvement actions and process/system changes identified are carried out. Supervisory experience is an essential requirement for the role as the role holder will manage a small team. You will be proficient in Microsoft packages, including PowerPoint; advanced level is desirable.
