Senior Financial & Process Analyst
This is an interesting opportunity for a capable and ambitious financial analyst to move into a sector where opportunities for growth remain plentiful. Our client is a market leading national business in the consumer services sector and you will have the chance to make a real impact on your division’s success and to play an important role in its operations.
Crucially, we are looking for someone who can supplement their excellent technical skills with real commercial nous. A professional who understands that workable business solutions flow from a profound understanding of all aspects of the operation and the people who work in it.
This role involves managing and improving the accounting and reconciliation of significant online revenue streams. Utilising the existing systems which include TM1, Business Objects and Oracle Financials as well as a proprietary industry booking engine, your role will be to manipulate and deliver robust and accurate data and reports which have a high degree of financial integrity. You will employ your advanced skills with MS Access and Excel to assist with this. Responsible for updating the systems and processes to accommodate changing commercial requirements and business relationships, your input and direction will be key to the successful management of this significant business division.
You will have excellent academics and are likely to be at least part-qualified with a relevant financial qualification (ACCA/ACA/CIMA/). Experience in a consumer-focussed multi-site business is desirable as is familiarity with complex database systems such as those used in travel, hospitality or retail. You must be used to managing large volumes of data and operating in a process driven environment. You should also have a good understanding of (and preferably exposure to) internal financial and process audit and understand how to apply those disciplines to this type of role.
The successful candidate will combine these attributes with a real desire to get under the skin of the business and understand its critical drivers. You will be energetic and inquisitive and will not only have the technical skills and intellectual capability to manage a broad mix of responsibilities, but you will also have the initiative and inquisitive nature, allied with a large degree of commercial common sense which will enable you to add real value to the business. Your presentational skills will be of a high standard and you will also be a good all round communicator, able to get on and work well with the large team in this division.
