Description

Adecco are looking Payrollers to join their London 2012 HR Team inBirmingham. The London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games (LOCOG) has been established as the organisation that will plan and stage the 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympics Games.

The primary function of the LOCOG Payroll Officer is to contribute towards the provision of an efficient and effective payroll service to the LOCOG Account. You will operate as part of a dedicated LOCOG team working alongside HR Advisors to offer a helpdesk service to our Games Time contractors.

We will require you to have experience of:

Payroll systems i.e. manual calculations, statutory calculations
PAYE
Tax queries
Using Excel and Word You will be expected to:

Work within a 1st line helpdesk where you liaise and handle enquiries from Games Time contractors
Input data accurately and timely ensuring deadlines are met
Calculate Statutory Sick and Maternity Pay in accordance with set criteria
Respond to enquires and requests for information from outside agencies,e.g Inland Revenue ,DSS etc
Calculate additional payments and or deductions.
Administer payroll information e.g new starter files, payroll reports, in-active lists, audit trail etc
Work closely with the On-Site Locog team to ensure absence management is recorded accurately
Deal with errors and amendments
Collect data from on-site team and ensure it's reflected accurately in the system
Update Master Tracker with payroll details
Comply with statutory and company payroll procedures and deadlines
Undertake all duties having regard to the urgency necessary to meet appropriate deadlines and maintain confidentiality
Undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by the Team Leader
Understand how the recruitment business operates, the opportunities and challenges that such an operation brings and how to minimise the risks and challenges in order to maximise effectiveness.
Process contractors in accordance to our termination policy by issuing termination letters and P45's This role will require the suitable candidate to work on a shift pattern basis, this will include working some weekends for the duration of the contract.
