Operations Manager
My client is seeking an Operations Manager to join their team ASAP. (3.00pm - 11.00pm Monday to Friday)
The successful operations manager will ensure client delivery is achieved through the effective support, supervision and development of their team(s) and by assisting with the management of the operation to ensure that the service is delivered to the client to the required quality standard, on time and within budget. To build and maintain client relationships in order to influence long term business development
You will
Manage up to 6 direct reports.
Have responsibility for ensuring the delivery of the service within budget as agreed with Senior Operational Manager.
Ensure that the service is delivered to SLA and required quality standards.
Take operational management responsibility for more than two client accounts.
Develop and implement appropriate measurements and methodologies for managing operational performance to ensure the operational delivery to agreed service standards, by agreeing clear targets with line management for quality, unit times, financial budgets.
Provide direction and leadership to staff, motivating coaching and supporting them to achieve team and individual objectives and to play an active role in the appraisal process, and to ensure appropriate escalation and communication (upwards and downwards) of issues to maximise performance and a culture of continuous improvement.
Instill a culture of continuous improvement and learning by identifying learning needs, helping to provide opportunities to address these needs and encouraging staff to take responsibility for their own learning.
Attract and retain the highest quality resource available, ensuring the retention, motivation and development of staff in the operational area and ensure its effective performance.
Ensure the resourcing requirements for the operational area are regularly monitored, planned and controlled.
Adopt best practice approach in managing risks and issues, change control and quality in line with business requirements
Ensure that all staff are appropriately trained and to ensure the ongoing training, performance management and development of staff in line with Company HR policies.
Ensure that all procedures and processes are fully documented and adhered to, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, ethical and social requirements to build and maintain an excellent reputation for the Company.
Take responsibility for own learning and development, keeping up-to-date with all policy, procedural and regulatory developments, and making full use of available structured learning opportunities.
Maintain accurate and complete records relating to training, performance and competence for all direct reports (including individual T&C and HR files).
Provide high quality MI to the business & to client.
To be considered for this you will need to have an excellent, broad knowledge and understanding of the business, legal, regulatory and ethical framework relating to the financial services industry is required in addition to expert knowledge and continuing professional development relating to the products, processes and regulation in the area of work under management. You must also be able to work 3.00 - 11.00 Monday to Friday.
