Project Accountant - Bids & Tenders

Employing in excess of 10,000 people across 150 offices and major project locations, the company is one of the worlds leading infrastructure maintenance and project management service providers.
In the UK the company is involved in the successful delivery of major, long term, maintenance contracts incorporating Highways, Railways, Schools, Airports, Offices and important public buildings.
Due to the continued increased demand for their services, the company is now looking to enhance their Commercial bid team with a Project Accountant (Tenders & Bids).
ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, as the Project Accountant (Tenders & Bids) you will be heavily involved in the construction of profitable and commercially sound bids & tenders. Based in the company's offices in Cambridge, you will be working in partnership with senior professionals spanning Business Development, Operations, Estimating and Bids.

As the Project Accountant (Tenders & Bids ) you will be working on a number of Public Procurement tenders and PFI's at any one time.

As the Project Accountant (Tenders & Bids ) it will be your responsibility to ensure that, whilst the tender is attractive to the client and offers value, the organisations profit margins are achieved.

The role will also require you to assess, evaluate and integrate detailed estimates & costings for packages of works, before undertaking detailed financial modeling and forecasting to assess the profitability/ margin potential of each contract over 5 , 10 ,15 and 25 year terms.

To secure the post of Project Accountant ( Tenders & Bids ) you will need to be able to demonstrate a track record in managing the commercial aspects of PFI and Public Procurement Tenders within Infrastructure sector, and of undertaking robust financial modeling.

You will also have experience of working with a company that delivers major outsourcing solutions to public sector clients.

As the Project Accountant ( Tenders & Bids ) the successful candidate will have outstanding multi-level communication skills and be a real team player. With an ability to work under pressure, and to develop commercially sound proposals, it is essential that you can demonstrate a track record of success.

To be successful you must have/be all of the following:
ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
Public Sector experience
You will have experience of working with a company that delivers major outsourcing solutions to public sector clients.
Have worked on major, long term, PFI or Public Procurement Tenders
Have experience of outsourcing
Outstanding Commercial Acumen
Experience of developing robust and detailed financial models
Be profit driven whilst maintaining a view of providing value to the client
Track record of success in participating in winning bids
