Position: Accountant
Location: Thornbury, Bristol
Salary: Very competitive dependant on qualifications and experience

The Company

Their vision is to be a leading independent provider of business services in the South West, be seen as ‘more than Chartered Accountants’ and to provide a positive, challenging, rewarding and fun working environment.

They are now looking to recruit an Accountant for their office in Thornbury.

The role requirements
•ACA or ACCA qualified.
•Experience in Accounting for Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited companies.
•Personal Tax and Corporation Tax experience.
•Working knowledge of Sage and Quickbooks. Interest in Rural businesses would be an advantage.

Duties
•Financial Accounts review following preparation and analysis from a range of different sources –mainly computerised but occasionally manual for clients of the business. Much of this work will be drafted by the junior team for review.
•Financial reporting / disclosure matters
•Ad hoc reporting as required.
•Assistance with calculation of adjusted profits and capital allowances claims as well as basic tax return preparation work
•Liaison/ support / meetings with clients and report writing/letter writing/ telephone support as necessary
•Coaching and support to junior team as required
•Use of in house accounts preparation software and industry standard products such as SAPA, SAGE and Quickbooks
•Use of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and scheduling

The person
Will be a self motivated and positive individual with a passion for quality and excellence in service delivery. Attention to detail with associated skills for communication and working as part of a team are essential as is the desire for continuing professional development. A good knowledge of Microsoft Excel / Outlook is required.

Training courses can be sourced and funded to improve skills, if appropriate, and ongoing CPD will be funded by the practice.
