In the first instance all applicants must have a proven history in working in a Business Partnering environment within an Insurance or Financial Services environment including staff management.
Applicants must also be happy to work on a six month fixed term contract direct with my client.
This position is responsible for analysing and critically reviewing the Company's performance to support in the delivery of the internal reporting requirements.
Responsibilities include the consolidation of monthly accounts & quarterly Board reports. Ensuring any variations to budget or prior year results are analysed, understood and communicated.
To manage the production and analysis of over 100 monthly accounts ensuring consistency of approach across all products. Performing a critical review of the reported variances to budget, providing detailed commentary to assess their performance.
Responsible for providing the appropriate financial models and support the new business process, ensuring assumptions are challenged and risks fully understood in order to meet the Company's Strategic & Financial Objectives. To ensure they are successfully integrated into the monthly reporting processes and budget cycle, providing the business managers with the necessary analysis and recommendations to take appropriate actions to improve account performance.
To manage the Company's annual budget cycle and quarterly forecasting process. Providing the appropriate support and challenge to the business managers in order to deliver high level targets analysed by the appropriate schemes. Ensuring action plans are put in place to improve performance where forecasts show deviation from budget. Delivery of budgets and forecasts to Group in line with the reporting timetable.
Experience: Essential - Qualified Accountant with a proven track record in a financial reporting environment. Strongly Desirable - Experience working in the Personal Lines Insurance sector.
