Accounts Assistant

Abraxa are keen to speak with any Accounts Assistants who are looking for an opportunity to join an organisation with a strong reputation for developing their staff. The role has arisen due to an internal promotion and would suit someone who is studying towards their professional qualifications such as AAT.

Reporting to the Management Accountant you will work within a team of 4 and assume responsibility for the following tasks:

Ensure Supplier invoices are correctly coded and approved against delivery notes, dealing with any arising discrepancies
Nominal ledger activity
Dealing with additions and disposals to the hire fleet system
Various reporting for senior management teams
Liaison with regional and area teams
Ideally you will be studying towards an accountancy qualification (Full study support is offered and indeed encouraged) such as AAT. More importantly you will have the ambition and desire to want to progress your career. Any knowledge of working in a multi-sited organisation would be advantageous. Excellent communication skills are a must as the role involves significant levels of liaison with internal and external parties.
