Senior Credit Controller

We are recruiting a Senior Credit Controller for our Blackburn based Credit Control Shared Services function to take responsibility for the sales ledger of one of our Group Companies

Reporting to the Credit Control Manager, your main focus will be to achieve monthly cash collection and arrears reduction targets and maintain high levels of customer service at all times.

In order to be considered you will possess extensive knowledge and experience of credit control and bookkeeping in a small business environment to include legal credit control processes. You will also be well versed in chasing debt from customers who are often Owner Managed Businesses and possess the necessary commercial skills and credibility to build effective working relationships

As an experienced Credit Controller, you will also ideally possess supervisory experience in order to be able to deputise for the Team Manager in their absence. It is essential you have worked in fast paced environment and can manage high volume accounts. You will be an effective communicator, highly motivated, computer literate including Microsoft Office and be a team player.

Duties will include taking ownership of the ledger and, working with the minimum of direction, you will chase outstanding debt for a selected group of customers, working to monthly cash collection and arrears targets; you will negotiate with customers to bring payments in to line with payment terms and take ownership and responsibility for ensuring that final reminder letters are sent to debtors and followed up.
