Senior Accounting Technician

Our client are currently looking for a temporary full time Senior Accounting Technician who is bright, numerate and enthusiastic. The successful candidate will be performance focused and play a major part in the future reporting and controls for the force. You must be confident with numbers, able to communicate effectively with colleagues, be a good team player and will be qualified to AAT or equivalent.

It is essential that the candidate has worked in an accounting role using major accounting systems and analytical tools. The ability to process information quickly and accurately is an essential skill for this role.

You will be responsible for planning and working on routine accounting transactions and undertaking ad hoc special exercises to provide good information to assist in the decision making process. This will involve the use of skills in the planning, investigation, assembly, monitoring and analysis of data available from a variety of sources. You will advise colleagues and will assist accountants and managers in the Finance function to report to and advise the senior management team.

Own transport is essential due to location and full vetting checks will be carried out on the successful candidate.
