Purchase Ledger Clerk
A long established and highly successful business located just on the outskirts of Cardiff, are currently recruiting for a Purchase Ledger clerk to join their busy team. The role is being offered initially on a temporary basis however for the right candidate the role will turn permanent.
Working in a small and friendly accounts team, you will be required to report into the Company Accountant on a day to day basis. The role will predominantly cover the purchase ledger however you will be flexible and willing to cover other areas within the accounts function.
Key responsibilities will include:
1) Matching, batching and coding of invoices
2) Statement reconciliation
3) Liaising with suppliers to resolve queries
4) Dealing with foreign currency transactions
5) Bank reconciliation
6) Processing the Barclaycard statements
My client is not necessarily seeking a candidate with all of the above, but you will have worked within an accounts department and have an understanding of the terminology and accounts process. Ideally you will be studying towards your AAT qualification. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, willing and eager to learn and happy to work in an extremely fast-paced environment. It is important you possess good IT skills especially in the use of Microsoft Excel.
