The Company
Taylor Made Recruitment is working closely with a leading insurance company. They now have a requirement for an Internal Technical Control Specialist to work within the Kent branch of their marketing services team.

The Role
The position of Internal Technical Control Specialist will involve valuation, manipulation and testing of output analysis – including, but not limited to:-
• To ensure the Internal Control team delivers a high quality and effective service whilst complying with the relevant regulatory framework, including risk management.
• Analyse and maintain data on asset and currency concentration
• Maintain automated and manual pricing feeds
• Generate and analyse valuation exception reports
• Analyse and report institution credit rating and level of asset exposure
• To manage and deliver capital test statements for members in accordance with published timetable
• Management of the reconciliation of cash
• Assist colleagues with understanding of funds and analysis of reconciliations
• To continuously review and challenge policy and procedures to look for improvements

The Candidate
In order to be considered for the position of Internal Technical Control Specialist you will possess fantastic technical and analytical skills.
• Strong IT skills in particular Excel and Access,
• Knowledge/experience of financial instruments
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines with pressure in a timely manner.
• It is highly desirable that candidates have a good understanding of FSA procedures.
