Pricing Underwriter

Healthcare/Medical Pricing Underwriter, Sussex. c£50,000 plus excellent benefits.

My client is a leading specialist Healthcare Provider who have a highly reputable reputation in their field.
They work closely with a select number of intermediaries and distribution channels to provide a highly effective, bespoke service and products to the market.
Following a highly successful year in 2010 they are keen to further develop their business and can offer excellent prospects.
This role may require some international travel.

Responsibilities:
You will be the first point of contact for all underwriting pricing queries
You will have the authority to quote or price contracts as well as having the underwriting authority for all policies.
Working closely with business partners to provide solutions within budgetary restrictions.
Liaising with Senior members of the business in order to propose pricing levels in order to achieve targeted net loss ratios.

Requirements:
Experience within a pricing and underwriting role.
Understanding of the Healthcare insurance market.
Knowledge of policy wording and insurance process.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills which will allow you to communicate with external partners and senior business members.
