Financial and Systems Accountant

We are currently recruiting for the position of a Financial & Systems Accountant on a fixed term contract of approximately 16 months attracting a salary of between £40,000 and £45,000 plus benefits based in Chelmsford.

This position offers management responsibility of the sales ledger and credit control functions, plus direct contact with non-finance staff in the business, as well as more traditional monthly reporting requirements and completion of HMRC and statutory returns. In addition this role will take responsibility for the improvement of IFS (internal accounting system) controls and processes.

The successful candidate will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with at least 3 years post qualification experience. Strong MS Excel skills, experience of UK company tax and VAT legislation, as well as experience in financial/management accounting and operations in a multi-currency environment.

Skill that would be an advantage are, intermediate/advanced knowledge of MS Office applications. IT Literate with knowledge of IFS (or similar systems). Highly committed and able to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
