Description Our client is a leading manufacturer of quality engineered pump products. Due to expansion they are now looking to recruit a Design Engineer.

Design Engineer

Duties
Creation of drawings, schemes and designs of components and assemblies
Maintaining Engineering/Design data
Carrying out design investigations relating to
·reliability of existing designs
·new products/components
Investigating product based shop floor queries

Person Specification

Essential
Mechanical Engineering Qualification
Commonsense and practical approach
3D CAD expertise (Solid Works preferred but not essential)

Desirable
Sound electrical knowledge
Electro-mechanical background
Awareness of CE marking and associated Standards

Plus at least 3 of the following
Experience in volume production environment (ideally white goods)
Experience of electric motor driven rotating plant
Experience of designing components for plastic injection moulding
Experience of designing machined components
Knowledge of pumps, pumping systems, and domestic plumbing.
