Description		Our client is major publishing firm based in on the outskirts of Cambridge. We are now looking to recruit, on their behalf, a Production Graphic Designer with experience of Apple Mac, Quark Xpress, Photoshop and Illustrator. The successful applicant will work in a modern, busy studio producing covers, packaging and pages for catalogues, ad hoc marketing material, e-shots, web design concepts and direct mail publications. Working as part of a team and liasing with Marketing, Merchandising and external customers, you will be responsible for generating artworks from concept through to finished pages/covers and re-working customer supplied files. You will have extensive and quick Quark skills and be very proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator. Backed up with a BTEC or higher graphic design or printing qualification and/or a very solid work record. Attention to detail, good visualisation skills, the ability to work well under pressure whilst maintaining flexibility and a team player are a must. You will also need to demonstrate a flair for creative design and an understanding of file formats. Other related skills, such as web design experience would be advantageous. This post is offered on a full time, annualised hours contract. Applications from newly qualified designers that can demonstrate the required technical skills are also welcome.
