Technical Product Designer

Salary Dependant Upon Experience

Leading sporting goods company Dunlop Slazenger International is looking to expand its global product design and R&D team to drive the category forward. Specific focus for the role will be the design and development of new innovative products, across rackets sports (tennis, squash, badminton etc.) golf, cricket hockey and football.

The Role

Key responsibilities will include:

  • To deliver innovative, bold, contemporary and dynamic product design solutions across all sporting equipment categories.
  • Work independantly to research and identify new technologies, trends and implement design solutions through sketching, 3D CAD, prototyping and technical drawings.
  • To create compelling product visualisations to support marketing communications.
  • To develop product graphics with a clear visual style.
The Candidate
  • Would suit an ambitious, versatile individual looking for an exiting challenge within the sports industry.
  • Must offer commitment and energy combined with the ability to plan ahead.
  • Should be able to priorotise tasks and co-ordinate with the work of other members of the team.
  • Must have a knowledge of basic physical principles.
  • Must have strong communications skills
  • Must be knowledgeable and passionate about sports design
  • Must be experienced in 3D CAD (ideally Solidworks), illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Must have at least 1-2 years experience industry based.
