Description		PURCHASING FUTURES is a specialist recruitment company who provide a targeted and professional service for Purchasing, Procurement and Supply Chain staff throughout the UK. We are recruiting for a SENIOR BUYER to join a leading organisation based in Luton (Bedfordshire). This is a permanent role paying c.�25/29k. The type of person suited to this vacancy will have:- � Experience working at Buyer or Senior Buyer level � Materials management background � Industry experience within the Engineering or Mechanical sectors � Experience using MRP/ERP systems � Preferably Degree and/or CIPS qualified (or studying towards) � Knowledge of JDE systems (advantageous) Responsibilities will include:- � Use JDE and associated reports to establish material requirements � Proactive order book management and expediting of suppliers to prevent production shortages � Inventory management � Monitoring and reporting supplier performance to manage delivery and inventory � Taking appropriate action with suppliers � Making key sourcing decisions � To ensure purchasing ethics and practices are adhered to To Apply Email your CV and Covering Letter to jan@purchasingfutures.com quoting reference VR/590.
