Description A senior managerial position is available at a leading Aerospace company, that are going through a huge growth phase

The Avionics Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with maintenance, legislative and inspection standards as specified by EASA and the Quality and Airworthiness Manager. The Avionics Manager is authorised to negotiate with the EASA, as necessary, on electrical and avionics maintenance related airworthiness matters.

You will primarily be responsible for the overall project management of all electrical and avionics line and base maintenance, including all aircraft and equipment practical design change work in accordance with current airworthiness data. This includes the planning and coordination of all avionics related manpower and all material resources to ensure that all aircraft electrical and avionics maintenance work is completed safely within this company's regulatory approved capability. If tasks are delegated, at the discretion of the Avionics Manager, the overall managerial responsibility for compliance remains with the Avionics Manager.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

1. The Avionics Manager is responsible for the quality control standard of their own work at all times, working in accordance with approved company and legislative written procedures.

2. Promoting and ensuring compliance with the company's Safety Management System' requirements, including all health and safety training requirements.

3. The overall managerial responsibility for the leadership, motivation, disciplinary and manpower allocation control, of electrical and avionics personnel.

4. When required, performing aircraft maintenance, defect rectification, design changes and repairs to an acceptable industry work standard.
