Description		Our client provides high end technical and project management services to the prime aerospace companies. As a strategic supplier to both Rolls-Royce and Airbus UK, they are involved in some of the world`s most challenging and exciting aerospace projects: ? Joint Strike Fighter ? A380 ? A350 ? A400M ? Trent 1000 They are now seeking the right individuals to join their growing aerospace team in Derby. The position of Aerospace Lead Engineer is ideally suited to high calibre mechanical or aero engineers with appropriate post graduate industry experience. You will be given the opportunity to take a leading technical role on our aerospace projects in airframe structures and aero-engines as well as handling diverse stress engineering tasks from general industry. You will be expected to take full ownership of the technical aspects, and to lead others in their execution. Successful candidates will need to demonstrate an appetite for challenge and to contribute to the success and growth of the business. Mandatory Requirements of the role Candidates will ideally be degree qualified, and have experience of managing engineering projects to time, quality and cost objectives. Ideally, you will have experience of technically leading teams and taking technical responsibility on projects involving relevant disciplines such as: ? Static stress analysis. ? Linear or non-linear Finite Element modelling and analysis. ? Dynamic response under impact/shock loading ? Fatigue and Damage Tolerance analysis. ? Engineering design. ? Composite materials design/stress analysis Candidates must be able to demonstrate: ? Effective client management and communication skills. ? Project team leadership. ? Technical aptitude in the appropriate discipline. ? Adaptability. ? Innovative thinking. ? Commercial awareness and financial management skills. You will need to show a willingness to work outside normal office hours on occasions and flexibility for working from the office, home, and clients` premises. Desirable Requirements for the role Prior aerospace, or power generation industry experience is desirable, but not mandatory. Chartership (or working towards) with one of the main Engineering Institutes Additional Information Travel to and from client sites and/or temporary secondment to client`s offices may also be required. SECURITY : All candidates must be in a position to obtain UK security clearance to BC level. Additional restrictions may apply to certain projects.
