Description		Avionics Systems Engineer Reading, Berkshire Salary c �25K - �56K + Benefits package To provide Avionics Systems and Airborne communications expertise in support of Defence-related avionics equipment and sub-system development activities including Requirements Analysis, System Design, System Build, System Integration, and Test & Acceptance. The Avionics systems engineer will be required to support upgrade, integration and test at customer facilities and must therefore be familiar with aircraft working practices. The Avionics systems engineer will be required to operate autonomously and as part of a larger team including operating within the greater engineering community as well as operate with sub-contract organisations. Key accountabilities include: Contributing to avionics systems and subsystems architectures and top level design including user Requirements gathering and preparation of requirements specifications Provision of support and expertise to integration and test activities, both at company and customer environments. Ideal candidates will be degree qualified (or with relevant experience) and have proven experience in the design, development, installation, integration and fielding of avionics and airborne communications systems and experience of the traditional full systems lifecycle.
