Super Opportunity - Territory Manager - Oxfordshire / Gloucestershire
Our client an established company within the automotive sector is now seeking a Territory Manager to join the team covering the Oxfordshire / Gloucestershire area. Applicants would need to have a solid background of working within the Automotive sector.
Responsible for and overseeing 5 sites to include directly reporting into the Divisional Manager
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:-
Responsible for maximising the profitability of the Territory (comprising of 5 sites) by ensuring that all budgetary targets are consistently met. Applicants would need to ensure that all our clients and work provider customer service levels are consistently met. Ability to increase the operational efficiency and turnover of the sites within the Territory, working with both existing and new customers.
Ensuring the consistent adoption of and compliance with Group initiatives to incorporate being fully supportive to the Divisional Manager through the efficient management of the Territory and to contribute to the overall effectiveness of the Division.
MAIN TASKS:
Assisting the Divisional Manager in the implementation of strategic initiatives developed and approved by the Board.
In conjunction with the Divisional Manager, to ensure the development and on-target delivery of the annual operating plan for the Territory.
Working with each Site/Bodyshop Manager to ensure that annual operating plans are created that support the overall financial targets of the Territory and the Division, that the financial performance of each site is reviewed monthly and that corrective action is taken to address below plan performance.
Responsible for working alongside the Site Managers to ensure they monitor and manage the day-to-day activity of their sites to deliver profitable businesses that meet customer satisfaction targets. This would include regular site visits and the on-going performance management of Site Managers, to ensure that operational issues are quickly identified and resolved and reported as appropriate to the Divisional Manager.
Ability to work diligently to ensure harmonious relations with work providers and key suppliers.
Assessing the skill base at each site and to ensure that appropriate action is taken to maintain budgeted headcount with the skills required to achieve planned operational objectives. Responsible for ensuring adequate succession planning is implemented throughout the Territory so that staff and skill shortages do not impede progress in achieving operational objectives. This is to include undertaking such other tasks as may, from time to time, be reasonably required.
QUALIFICATION AND TECHNICAL JOB KNOWLEDGE:
Leadership skills – able to lead the Territory in the interpretation and implementation of operational and strategic objectives.
Delegation – able to delegate authority to appropriately skilled team members and effectively monitor delegated tasks.
Staff development – able to develop the skills of the General Managers and, through them, the site staff through close liaison with HR and appropriate external agencies.
Commercial awareness – able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the overall commercial context within which the sites, the Territory and the Division operate.
Sector knowledge preferably with direct knowledge of repair methodology.
Communication skills – good written and oral communication skills.
Data rational – able to compile, interpret, analyse and present data including financial Profit and Loss Accounts.
Our client is offering a salary / package of £55K basic (5 sites) plus bonuses which can take earnings up to 70K + car/car allowance, PHI, expenses, mobile phone and life assurance cover.
