Our Client is seeking a Senior level lead Project Engineer responsible for technical collaboration and sub-system coordination of a joint development program. This will initially consist of pneumatic control and Heat Management System valves on gas turbine engines. The successful candidate will provide technical and program support onsite at a customer location in the midlands UK. Included will be the responsibility for representing the major client (US based) for, full requirements capture, analysis, technical interchange, communication, change control with impact assessment and management, detailed risk assessment / mitigation, alongside review and coordination of customer deliverable documents, support of hardware development, development of qualification test requirements, and on-site test support.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage collaboration and communication (i.e., the technical and working level personal relationship) on the control valve suite, starting with requirements development, through qualification of the (valves on the) engine for entry into service.
- This position will likely include travel to other customer and client facilities, including Germany and the US.
Requirements
• Degree/Certification of Mechanical Engineer designation and demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through eight or more years of related experience.
• Perform necessary engineering analysis including establishing and documenting design and test requirements.
• Support development, qualification and certification of valve suite.
• Attend engineering and program meetings as required to support technical development and technical communication needs.
Note due to customer and client locations some “out of normal hours” support will be necessary though this may be possible from home if desired.
