Electronic (ASIC) Design Engineer

1st or upper 2nd Degree in Electronics or Electronics discipline
At least 5 Years Experience
The candidate should have solid experience of the full design flow from initial design specification through to component testing and validation.
Have worked in the Automotive industry
Working with embedded LCD Displays
High speed digital design with knowledge of signal integrity verification
Knowledge of vehicle based communication and multiplexing systems i.e CAN Bus, LIN Bus, Flexray.
Exposure to the approvals process including E-Marking embodying design for EMC, ESD, transients.
Design for test.

Core competences must include:
ASIC design, both pure digital and mixed signal. Gate arrays, standard cell, embedded processors, Integrating and verifying third party IP cores. Designing IP blocks from scratch.

VHDL coding and simulation, ModelSim, Altera Quartus II, Synopsis or any of the leading VHDL tool chain suppliers

Electronic analogue design, digital design, use of FPGAs .

The role will be as follows:
Electronics with FPGA, ASIC design for Automotive components including Instrument Clusters, displays, body electronics, Multiplexing system components, Engine Management systems.
Close cooperation with multidisciplinary teams including SW designers, PCB Designers, Enclosure and Mechanical component designers.
