CNC Turner – Night Shift

We currently have a fantastic vacancy for a skilled CNC Turner to join our client at Heathrow Airport. The role on offer is an excellent opportunity to join a world class business within a major airline.

JOB PURPOSE:

Manufacture of aircraft bushes to precision limits in accordance with company procedures/ OHM/ CMM/ SOPM.

KEY PERFORMANCE MEASURES:

 To adhere to Customer Turn Around Times
 Embrace and actively improve LEAN processes
 Ensure all KPI targets for the department are met and adhered too

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: (include responsibilities for H&S, COMAH etc)

 Working on two and three axis CNC lathes with Fanuc controls.
 Experience of CNC programming preferable on Fanuc controls.
 To be able to read and understand technical drawings.
 To be able to work with imperial measuring equipment.
 Manufacturing bushes, sleeves and nuts for Aircraft components e.g.:- Landing gears, flap and track systems.
 Also reworking and overhauling components for the airline industry.
 An awareness and understanding of responsibilities outlined in the Company’s environmental procedures
 In addition to the duties and responsibilities outlined above you will be expected to carry out any other reasonable activities as required by your line manager

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: (Include technical skills)

 Familiar with the use of computers, including word processing, spreadsheets and data based programmes.
 Trained in machine shop technology and working practices.
 Have a minimum of 3 years experience with CNC lathes and have background with Fanuc controls essential
 Aerospace background not essential but would be preferred.

This is a permanent Night Shift role. Sunday – Thursday 10.25pm – 6.25am.

In return, the company offers a starting salary of £34,789 increasing to £36,520 after completing successful probation. Plus excellent benefits.
