Working for a 4 star corporate hotel located in Cambridge, we are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join the team. As Operations Manager, your role will be to assume the day to day responsibility for the efficient operation of all departments and the wider business generally, particularly in the absence of the General Manager. You must also display a pro-active and leading role in terms of service, culture, development, team image, systems, procedures and skills development. Be directly involved in developing and executing revenue strategies and sales initiatives - whilst continually developing your teams to do the same. Ensure constructive team communication with emphasis on structure training ans development to improve service standards. Ensure forecasting is carried out as required by the company in with the General Manager In conjunction with the Head of Department ensure recruitment, training, development and staffing levels are as required. To develop interactive customer relations and to be aware of any possible future requirements. Relay information and ideas to the General Manager for the enhancement of customer expectation. To carry out appraisals/job chats as per the company appraisal system. Required Experience - Previous Experience of a management role within a hotel environment - Ability to self organise and multi task to plan and prioritise projects - Attention to detail - Positive attitude, enthusiastic, drive for results and able to work without supervision - Understands the market, the business and customers to create a competitive advantage. The starting salary for this role is 30,0000 up to 35,000 dependent upon experience. Bonuses can be achieved on a yearly basis dependant on the hotel performance and key personal objective achieved.
