| Description |
My client is a charity operating within the motor industry and requires a National Development Manager to operate in the North of the UK to maximise fundraising income from the development of a portfolio of key corporate and high net worth individual supporter accounts domiciled within the specified Territory and to provide leads to other Fundraising & Communications teams.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1.To achieve and endeavour to exceed income generation targets and key performance indicators as specified by the Head of National Development.
2.To develop and manage a portfolio of key corporate and high net worth individual supporter accounts, within the specified Territory as instructed by the Head of National Development, maximising fundraising income from these accounts and providing leads to other Fundraising teams.
3.To undertake Research and Development into new business sectors, in sectors where support for the client is limited and in sectors at the periphery of our industries.
4.To assist the Head of National Development in the preparation of the annual budgets and forecasts for the National Development Team and to monitor income and expenditure in the specified Territory against budgets and forecasts, reporting any deviance to the Head of National Development and providing contingency plans and re forecasts where necessary.
5.To provide reports and statistics for Management purposes; develop existing internal information systems to support the Heads of Department in the Fundraising & Communications Department.
6.To manage the development of special projects and new initiatives as instructed by the Head of National Development.
7.To maintain accurate recording and administrative procedures, budgets, income figures and relevant paperwork as well as liaising with the Database Development Supervisor in the development of the BEN database.
8.Working with the Head of National Development, to be involved with the overall strategy of the Fundraising & Communications Department in particular the IT requirements and the development of systems in conjunction with the IT Systems Manager and Head of Marketing & Communications & team.
9.To attend events, functions, exhibitions and Trade Association meetings, as required, which may involve working outside normal hours, together with attending internal / external meetings and courses, as required.
10.To ensure health, safety and environmental risks are adequately assessed and managed in respect of personal and National Development Team activities.
11.Any other duties specified from time to time by the Head of National Development.
Applicants must have a minimum “O” Level / GCSE Standard or equivalent in Maths and English, be able to demonstrate success in working as part of a small, high performance Sales Team(s) in current / previous role(s), experience in working to and monitoring set Budgets and Forecasts and Targets. Good communicator (oral and written, persuasive negotiator, effective time management, organisational, admin, IT and problem solving skills, Smart, out going, confident person with a “Can Do” attitude, self-motivating, disciplined and tenacious, ability to work on own initiative, team player - loyal, honest and proactive, ability and willingness to adapt.
