Early years Educator for London based Nursery

Approximately 4 months - Maternity cover - £17, 870 pa


We are currently recruiting an early year’s educator for a London based nursery this is to cover 4 month of maternity cover.
The post holder will under take the responsibilities of a keyworker within the nursery setting. You will be required to provide high quality child care and education for children from birth to five years in partnership with their parents and carers to provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment, which reflects the rich culture diversity and backgrounds of all children and families.

Core duties and responsibilities:
• Observing, assessing and recording with reference to the centres policies, and also inline with ofsted regulations
• Planning and evaluating daily and weekly and term to term to meet children’s needs
• Working in partnership with parents by Providing continuity from home to the centre by assessing children’s prior knowledge
• Supporting and training of students of various disciplines

Knowledge and skills:
• Ability to support children with special needs
• Knowledge and understanding of early years curriculum and effective ways of learning
• Sound knowledge of child protection procedures and be able to use theses in practice
• A childcare or education qualification equivalent to NVQ level 3 or above
• Ability to observe, assess and record children learning
• Demonstrate an understanding of multi-disciplinary teamwork
• Ability to support children with special needs
