Trading Manager
Trading Manager required for well established company based in Taunton. This is a part time position with hours of 10/4 5 days a week.
You will sell as well as lead, supervise and inspire Trading Staff to increase sales, and deliver an exceptional sales experience to the people of Somerset and North Somerset. You will also develop and implement sales and marketing plans to maximise income growth, year on year.
Key Responsibilities:
1 To sell the full range of products to achieve agreed targets
2 Deliver an exceptional customer service to a diverse customer base
3 To attain FSA Level 4 Supervisor status and maintain competency in relation to
FSA regulations by adherence to the Enterprises Training and
Competency (T&C) scheme
4 To hold FSA supervisory responsibility for Arrangers and Customer Service Associates
5 To be responsible for recording and monitoring complaints, breaches and
monthly establishment reports for FSA purposes
6 Prepare and oversee regulator7 reviews conducted by the Enterprises for
FSA purposes check what this relates to
7 Enthusiastically manage and deliver new product campaigns and services
8 Assist in the formulation and implementation of sales and marketing plans for all products and services, working alongside the national promotional programme as appropriate
9 Assist in the development and implementation of the Trading business plan
10 Working within the agree Business Plan, identify new business opportunities and follow through with a creative market plan to achieve agreed sales targets
11 Actively line manage Sales Arranger and support other associated personnel in accordance with customer service and FSA standards
12 Work with Sales Arranger to ensure full coverage of the Trading service throughout the year working in accordance with customer service and FSA standards
13 To work flexibly as part of the Trading team, covering sickness and annual leave where required.
14 Accept monies for transactions, reconcile accounts and physically deposit at local bank branch
15 Work within agreed limits of delegated financial responsibility and budgets as agreed by the Board of Directors
16 Deliver excellent verbal presentations and sales updates to customers and partners
17 Provide excellent and professional written trading reports/articles and updates to service a range of audiences
18 Ensure that all staff resources are used effectively to optimise service and delivery as follows:
a Monitor and report on all Service Level Agreements/targets.

d Process administrative tasks relating to the business efficiently and accurately and to the agreed standard
e Ensure effective communication with, and management and training of, staff through management meetings, team briefings and one to one sessions
f Maintain work standards during periods of high activity
19 Ensure all agreed sales targets are met
20 Maintain confidentiality and security of information at all times (Data Protection
1984)
21 Maintain clear and concise records for office and personal use
22 Maintain good and productive working relationships with colleagues and the staff of partner organisations
23 Proactively contribute to process improvements and new procedures
24 Utilise the Enterprises approved IT systems
25 To effectively use the data available through the Charitylog database system
26 To carry out any other work as necessary for the overall benefit of the Charity and the people of Somerset and North Somerset

Person Specification and Selection Criteria
Good standard of education demonstrating numeracy and literacy
Competent IT user proficient in Microsoft products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
*Experience of managing staff successfully in a business sales environment
*Experience of managing successfully in a target/results driven environment Experience in regulated sales & service environment
Specific Skills (including IT)Ability to communicate clearly and articulately verbally to customers, colleagues and organisations
