Description		Role : Project Co-Ordinator Location : Preston Salary : �20 - 40K A number of new fantastic opportunities exist at a leading international organisation in their Project Management departments working on projects at the cutting edge of technology. They are looking for Project Planners to ensure the success of a number of complex programmes. Successful candidates will be working alongside engineers, developing networks and schedules which reflect the high levels of complexity and integration inherent in our Programmes. This will require effective communication and problem solving skills, and an understanding of engineering maturity. Key Responsibility Areas � Working with engineers and other staff to fully define the scope of work, preparing statements of work and devising optimum approach to scheduling � Creating, issuing and controlling schedules, based on logically linked networks � Ensuring schedules are integrated horizontally and vertically, and are aligned with cost collection structures � Assessing and reporting programme achievement and status � Identification of schedule problems and support to management in resolution and decision making � Management of schedule change � Planning and levelling of resources to satisfy the schedule Candidates should have some practical project management experience including planning and schedule management and management reporting. Candidates should have experience of project management toolsets such as MSP, OpenPlan, Cobra, Artemis, Primavera or equivalent. More critical, however, is a well developed understanding of scheduling, principles, concepts and practices, and their effective application.
