Description Role: Systems Engineer UWS – Underwater Systems
Salary: £26,000 - £38,000 region
Location: Farnborough

A leading international Defence organisation is looking for a Systems Engineer to provide systems engineering expertise to the selection, installation and proving of underwater acoustic systems on submarine platforms.

Responsibilities for this role will include:

· Provide support to requirements generation and acceptance
· Provide support to Hardware Integration on Submarine Platforms, Inboard and Outboard
· Provide support to Sea Trials Planning, Co-ordination and possibly Execution
· Liaise with Subcontractors on Technical issues
· Liaise with the Customer on Technical issues

For this role the successful applicant will require experience of working on Systems Engineering Projects is essential and exposure to the Defence Industry and the submarine/ship building industry, or the Underwater Environment, would be beneficial. Good communication skills are important with the successful candidate being required to deal with both suppliers and customers regarding technical issues.

Experience in Sonar Systems, Naval Systems or Submarine Systems would be highly desirable for this position.
