Description		Simulation Engineer We are supporting a global, diverse technology leader and the World's largest and most successful engine company. Our client leads the field in the design and manufacture of high-performance engines. Their continuous development programme, dedicated to furthering engine design allows them to offer one of the most advanced and comprehensive ranges of purpose-built diesel engines available today. Staying ahead in a rapidly changing world is vital and to achieve this they need ambitious, talented individuals who have the potential to create, challenge, and deliver global objectives. They are committed to an expansion programme throughout 2007 and beyond that includes the acquisition of a wide range of engineering specialists within: Mechanical Engineering, CAE, Performance & Emissions, Electronics, Global Engine Development and Aftertreatment. The successful candidate will simulate engine components, engine systems and vehicle systems in CFD and 1-dimensional system simulation codes. The candidate will also support research programs that include engine and vehicle system technology and will work closely with internal and external partners including universities and consultants. The candidate will also recommend, investigate and analyze improvements to the component or system, and effectively document and communicate these activities to customers and technical partners at all levels. Requirements: A technical degree Previous experience of engine and vehicle system simulation and CFD simulation experience Ability to demonstrate skills in analysis, detailed data manipulation, determination of underlying system relationships and the appropriate selection and use of analysis tools Self-motivated with strong customer focus Technical problem solving and communication skills Permanent opportunities also exist for this role To apply for this position please forward your CV with a covering letter highlighting your relevant skills
