Our client is currently seeking a System designer to support the sales department in the preparation, creation and administration of Tenders, Bids and pre-qualifications, etc.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Your primary role is to provide pre-order technical design and estimating support capability to the Business Managers
• Working as part of the estimating team providing cost advice and outline/detailed design to verify tender submission
• Assist in the standardisation of design and products
• Form part of the bid team at client interview
• Provide a pre-construction role involving site and office based coordination with the client team and key interfaces to establish detailed working drawings, in order to handover to the appointed project manager for implementation
• On-going liaison with the appointed project manager and financial manager regarding design changes and cost advice
The job scope will require:
• Comprehensive working knowledge of current AV systems, associated IT elements and their installation (including AMX, Crestron, Extron, audio DSP, Video conferencing, Video streaming, digital signage, etc)
• A thorough understanding of the technology behind the equipment and associated interfacing
• Production of system schematics
• Attendance at site meetings (periodically)
• Design coordination with all internal departments and external clients/consultants
• Supplier liaison
• Audio visual design input
