Description Role: Reliability Engineer
Salary: £28,000 - £38,000
Location: Bedford

A lead systems integrator and advanced technology company is looking for an experienced reliability and Maintainability engineer to enhance the ILS / ARM skills resource within this vibrant and expanding organisation.

Responsibilities for this role will include:

· AP and D&M Phase defence programmes involving Land Systems and Vehicle Systems Integration.
· Delivering progressive reliability assurance through an R&M case approach.
· ARM Work Package Management - this is a hands-on position, the successful candidate will enjoy considerable autonomy of operation but will in return be wholly responsible for programme success within their specialism.
· The ability to take a joined-up Through Life Management approach to R&M across the CADMID cycle.
· Experience with COTS based systems.
· Ability to interface and influence ARM issues at all programme levels.
· Ability to develop good working relationships with both customers and sub-contractors.
· An understanding of ILS and LSA.

For this role the successful applicant will require thorough knowledge and understanding of Def Stans 00-40, 00-41, 00-42, 00-43, Def Stan 00--60 series, Mil-Hdbk-217F, Mil-Std 1629. you will have experience in Preparation of R&M documentation - R&M plans, R&M predictions, FMECA and experience of FRACAS / DRACAS. You will be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel; some ability with MsAccess and MsProject would be useful

Reliability software applications - Relex or Isograph suites experience would be of benefit to you.

Whilst preference will be given to a seasoned reliability practitioner consideration will be given to a graduate engineer who can demonstrate 1-2 years experience and a commitment to a career in reliability engineering or ILS.
