An excellent opportunity exists for a Test Engineering Manager on a permanent basis to join an expanding business.

As the Test Engineering Manager you will be responsible for day to day running of development test and development build.

The Test Engineering Manager will need to meet the following key requirements for the position;
• HNC/HND or equivalent in Electro-Mechanical Engineering plus relevant experience (ideally in an aerospace/defence environment)
•Possess knowledge of mechanical and electrical test methods.
•Familiar with instrumentation methods and data recording.
•Able to apply test methodology to a wide range of products from motor, fans and heaters to engine cooling systems and air-conditioning systems for aerospace & defence applications
•Experience of testing product including:-electro-mechanical, electronic, airflow measurement, vapour cycle systems, noise and vibration.
•Good problem solving skills using practical and analytical techniques.
•Ability and drive to work to and achieve deadlines. Manages own workload and anticipates issues and completes tasks with minimal supervision.
•Ability to work as a member of a team.
•A practical aptitude

The appointed Test Engineering Manager will be responsible for carrying out the following duties and responsibilities;

•Day to day running of development test & development build
•Testing of all new products
•Production of test plans and specifications in collaboration with the project engineers
•Development and qualification testing.
•Production of production acceptance test specifications
•Production of test reports
•Test rig definition
•Support to production with respect to test
•Provide technician support to engineers and project leaders through the development, assembly and test of engineering hardware or products.
•Maintain detailed records of testing, assembly and analysis of tasks as designated.
•Assist in implementation of engineering process improvement measures and
activities that will improve quality and Cost effective production, and enhance
customer satisfaction.
•Develop the test capability to meet the business needs
