Description Our client is a leading manufacturer in the plastic injection moulding field, specialising in supplying components and assemblies to the domestic appliance and furniture trade. They currently have a vacancy for a permanent full time Design & Development Engineer at their Cambridgshire site to support their current expansion plans and increased business. The ideal candidate will be educated to Degree standard and be fully conversant with CAD software applications (SolidWorks preferred but will train) together with recent experience of product design work in a busy manufacturing environment. Candidates must be able to demonstrate recent success in whole electro-mechanical product introduction, electronic hardware, software supplier management and working to project deadlines. A self motivated team player with good problem solving skills and an appetite to seek improvement and action changes is a must. A competitive rate of pay commensurate with experience together with an annual performance bonus scheme and contributory pension plan will be offered to the successful applicant.
