The Company:
Based in Luton, my client is a leading name in their industry, providing a full package of servicing & maintenance of pumps, rotating and reciprocating machinery, fans, gearboxes and other similar heavy industrial equipment to all of UK.
Due to an increase in workload my client requires an experienced pump fitter to work on an ongoing contract basis, with an excellent chance of becoming permanent for the right candidate, if they so choose.
The Role:
The ideal candidate will come from a background of servicing, overhauling and repairing pumps and pumping equipment including shafts, seals, valves and bearings. The ability to undertake basic machining perhaps from a toolmaker or fitter/turner apprenticeship or similar would be excellent, but not essential.
You will be stripping down large industrial process pumps, testing motors and resistance, checking, repairing and replacing parts, refurbishing, reassembling and commissioning pumps of all types, shapes and sizes, within a busy but exceptionally friendly workshop environment.
The Benefits:
This role offers rates of £10.00 per hour for the first 39 hours, with lots of overtime paid at time & half and double time, allowing for hardworking industrious engineers to earn very well indeed, between £750-£900 per week.
