The role
Responsibility for designing and implementing FPGA based solution targeted towards current and next generation wireless communication infrastructure.

Required Skills
Technically the candidate should have a thorough understanding of DSP algorithm design through to implementation; a background in one or all of the following is required –
· Embedded software for Digital Signal Processing applications
· FPGA hardware design for Digital Signal Processing applications
· Wireless systems physical layer (ideally 3G, LTE and/or WiMAX)
Desirable Skills
Familiarity with some of the following would be advantageous:
· Communications systems from a physical layer perspective and link level aspects eg FEC, modulation, equalisation, beamforming and digital RF card
· MAC/RRM development from a system level perspective, in particular integration with the Physical layer
· Algorithm development and verification tools for DSP applications (eg Matlab)
· Good academic background (minimum BSEE, BSCS or equivalent)
