Description		Role: Strategic Sub Contract Manager Location: Luton Salary: �37,000 - �44,000 Apply to: s.bailey@jamjobs.co.uk A blue chip company are looking for a Strategic Sub Contract Manager to create, develop and maintain an effective Supply Chain Strategy and solutions across a number of Business Areas ensuring the Strategic Supplier relationships maximise the companies position within the Business Sector. Key responsibility areas: � Responsible for devising, implementing and delivering tailored Procurement strategies and providing senior level guidance and advice Business-Sector wide. � Combining a deep understanding of the current and future needs of the business and develop an in-depth understanding of the Commodity/Category area, you will develop Category strategies and sourcing plans ensuring the Company maintains its current competitive advantage. � Primarily the Procurement Lead within the EWOS (Electronic Warfare Operational Support) area. � As an influential contributor to a cross-functional team, responsible for defining and delivering the strategy for the relationship management of a number of key Suppliers within a rapidly growing and highly competitive market area. � To plan and manage key supplier arrangements so as to ensure both the Programme and greater Business needs are met and drive commercial advantage through an effective Category Management strategy. Desirables: � You will be one who has learned, developed and honed their Procurement skills, preferably in a blue chip company. This depth of understanding combined with practical experience of the application of a range of Procurement strategies will set you apart from the rest. � Ideally CIPS qualified or studying towards CIPS accreditation. � In depth understanding of strategic sourcing and supplier management.
