Description		SENIOR BUYER Near Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire �25,000-�29,000 URGENT REQUIREMENT: We are recruiting for a SENIOR BUYER to join a leading manufacturer based in Bedfordshire. Key Attributes: � Experience working as Buyer or Senior Buyer � Experience working in the Aerospace or Defence industry � Purchasing experience of Engineering or Mechanical components � Experience using JD Edwards or MRP systems � BOM's � Strong negotiating and cost saving skills � Strong supplier management skills � Strong communication skills and computer literate � CIPS/Degree preferred Responsibilities: � Working closely within the cell team and co-operating with all other areas of the business to achieve customer requirements � Use JDE and associated reports to establish material requirements � Proactive order book management and expediting of suppliers to prevent production shortages � Inventory management � Monitoring and reporting supplier performance to compliment cell objectives on delivery and inventory � Taking appropriate action with suppliers and making key sourcing decisions in conjunction with the cells � Taking action in the cell to ensure that professional purchasing ethics and practises are being maintained and that business objectives are not being compromised TO APPLY TO SENIOR BUYER VACANCY: Email your CV and Covering Letter quoting reference CS/612 to CHRIS SMITH at chris@purchasingfutures.com or call on 020 8255 2044.
